1. Foil Stamping

Foil stamping is a process of creating a brass die plate with your image or text etched into the brass. The plate is then stamped onto your book with the necessary color foil. This process gives a highly-attractive and permanent appeal to your books.

2. Four-Color Books

There is no limit to what we can cover your books with and there is no minimum quantity! Full-color books are great for yearbooks, wedding books, photo albums, kids’ books and many other applications. We can create books in sizes 4x6, 5x7, 6x8, 8x8, 8x10, 8.5x11 and even 12x12. All you will have to do is send us your artwork and we can create your custom books in a lead time of around 10 days.

4. Window Cut
Window cuts are simple way to allow a sneak-peak of what's inside your book. When you place an order for hardcover books, request a window-cut. Available in 11 different sizes.

Custom Order Policy:
1. File Requirements
- File Types: The following file types are preferable when submitting artwork: .ai, .eps (vector files). If you do not have a file in the above formats, you can submit your artwork in the following formats for our art department to review: .tif, .jpg, .png, .pdf (raster files).
- Please Note: if submitted in a raster file format, an artwork cleanup fee (minimum $75/hour plus $25 set up fee) may be required.
- Unacceptable file formats are: .doc, .xls, .pub, .gif
- Size/Resolution: Your artwork should be submitted at 100% or larger of your desired print size. The minimum accepted resolution of any artwork is 300 dpi.
- Foil Color Matching: Foil stamped logos are only available in specific solid (spot) colors. We cannot print full-color or four-color logos using foil. We also cannot match PMS colors in foil.
- Standard Foil Colors: Gold, Silver, Black, White, Flat Red, Metallic Red, Maroon, Green, Flat Blue, Flat Dark Blue, Flat Medium Blue
- Additional Colors: Available for an added charge (ask your account rep. for more information)

Fonts: When submitting artwork with a font in it, or when a specific font face is requested, you must either include the font file with your artwork, or convert the font to curves using Illustrator or another vector drawing program.
- All fonts used in a .pdf file must be embedded. If a font cannot be embedded and is not available, we may ask to substitute our version for the client's.
- Submitting Artwork: You can submit your files by emailing them to sales@unibind.com (for files totaling less than 40MB)
- Proofs: Upon receipt of your acceptable artwork, a proof will be send back for approval by email. If you would like to make changes made to the proof, send back your changes and we will send a new proof.
- Approval: When satisfied with your order, sign the approval forma and send it to us by fax or email. Once approved, your die will be created (for foil prints) and your order will be scheduled for printing.
- Processing Time: It usually takes 10-15 business days from the approval date to complete a custom order.
