The UniFoil printer is a unique desktop printing system that allows users to print special metallic foil to flat substrates.

This plug-and-play foil printing machine is ideal for short-run print applications where metallic foil is preferred. The custom foiling ability of the machine positions it towards firms offering personalization services for student thesis, diaries, notebooks and a multitude of book covers. For anyone who is running a walk-in personalization copy shop or producing theses for students, this can dramatically transform their business.

The UniFoil printer effectively tattoos foil patterns onto a variety of smooth substrates (See Fig 2). This adds an element of sophistication to your piece, putting more emphasis on the emotion your piece intends. The printer also has the capability to work with cloth (limited), leather (limited), acetate, velvet and linen. Currently, gold, silver, blue, red and black foils ribbons are available. There is also special foil designed for offset applications.

One of the most compelling reasons to use a UniFoil printer is that it is much more cost-effective than traditional hot foil methods. There is no need to manufacture a die plate which greatly reduces production times and setup costs. Printing logos is as easy as importing a .PDF or .JPG into the easy-to-use UniFoil Printer Software. The software is compatible with all Windows-based computers. This machine is not ideal for high-volume production. It is a perfect solution for businesses that produce less than 50-75 pieces per day.
